Vasanthakumara, who is contesting from the Kanyakumari Lok Sabha constituency in Tamil Nadu on a Congress ticket, is the richest candidate in the second phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha election. In his affidavit, Vasanthakumaran H has declared assets worth Rs 417 crore. Vasanthakumar has also declared a 45 per cent increase in income over the past five years.
