The Notre-Dame was engulfed by a major fire on Monday evening. The fire burned for several hours causing the collapse of the cathedral’s iconic spire and the destruction of its roof structure. President Emmanuel Macron has vowed that France will launch as international fundraising campaign to rebuild the landmark cathedral.
