Tension in Westminster as yellow vests clash with police wielding batons
  • 5 years ago
Police in Westminster clashed with yellow vests today (April 13) as one bystander accused protesters of trying to "shake the gates" outside Parliament.

In tense scenes, police clutching batons and poised to strike demanded that protesters - some holding Union Jack flags - "move away" and "stay back."

"It was the Democratic Football Lads Alliance and yellow vests causing problems," claimed the filmer. "They wanted to shake the gates [of Parliament]."
