"This song was made by a group of Strangers from all over the world - Strangers who now mean the world to me! ❤️ Mayssa
American citizen born and raised in Lebanon, singer-songwriter Mayssa Karaa knows first-hand, after 12 years of living in America, the many misconceptions people have about her native country. She says: “This song 'Call Me a Stranger' describes my search for my identity and the real me. Somehow when I'm in the US I feel like I'm so Lebanese but then when I visit Lebanon I feel like an American and I'm sure that a lot of people who left the countries they grew up in feel the same and that's when I wondered: why do we always feel like strangers wherever we go? Hopefully, this song will touch hearts in a positive way.” The video is also clear to project Mayssa not as a victim, but as the empowered and talented woman she is, making a strong impact on the world through thought-provoking music and art.

Tell me which land shall I call home The one beneath my feet, or the one across the ocean I have a story to be told But you've made up your mind, and my name has been stolen Let me help you understand What I’ve lived and who I am
I could have been you You could have been me It's all in the hands of destiny Don't you know that I’m no danger? You could have been me I could have been you Nothing to fear and nothing to lose Don't you know that I’m no danger? But you Call me a stranger Call me a stranger Call me a stranger
Meet me in the place where we can see The me in you, the you in me we both know Surrender all that you believe Imagine we could live to see tomorrow Let me help you understand What I face and where I stand
I could have been you You could have been me It's all in the hands of destiny Don't you know that I’m no danger? You could have been me I could have been you Nothing to fear and nothing to lose Don't you know that I’m no danger? But you call me a stranger #Callmeastranger…
