During a press conference on Friday morning, a spokesperson from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said officers responded to a shooting at around 10:28 a.m near 5100 Central Avenue. Authorities said the investigation is ongoing but the two people that were shot appear to be teenagers. It remains unclear if they are students at the Commonwealth High School. Officials say the two men sustained serious injuries and the shooting was not a random incident.
