Rodgers & Hammerstein The melody and inspiration behind Grande's newest track comes from the song, "My Favorite Things," According to the 'Daily Mail,' the
song credits 10 writers, including
Rodgers & Hammerstein. An agreement was reportedly made prior
to the song's release that would allow Grande to
use "My Favorite Things" as inspiration. According to 'The New York Times,' 90% of royalties was
satisfactory to both parties in order to release the song. Though Grande is only making a small
percentage on the song, her album,
'Thank U, Next,' is ripe with hits. She recently became the first artist
since the Beatles to hold the No. 1, 2 and 3 spot
on the 'Billboard' Hot 100 chart.
