प्रियंका गांधी वाड्रा वाराणसी में अपनी रैली को संबोधित कर रही थी । इस दौरान हजारों की संख्या में लोगों का हूजूम कांग्रेस महासचिव को देखने पहुंची थी लेकिन तभी बीजेपी और कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ताओं के बीच मारपीट शुरू हो गई । बता दें कि प्रियंका गांधी की वाराणसी रैली में बीजेपी कांग्रेस नेताओं के बीच तब बहस तेज हो गई जब बीजेपी नेता मोदी मोदी के नारे लगाने लगे । इसके बाद कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ताओं ने बहस की और फिर देखते ही देखते दोनों पार्टी के कार्यकर्ता भिड़ गए ।
