Work Safety at Heights Course give a brief knowledge and skills to the candidates which is required to work safely at heights. This course is required to those workmen who are in operational roles at different industries and regularly perform work at heights.
The course duration, fees, facilities and licensing can be vary from training institute to institute.
In industries, workmen such as scaffolders, riggers and operators who operate Elevate Work Platform always exposed themselves to the dangers while working at heights.
Workmen like EWP Operators need to understand the basic knowledge and skills of working at the heights so that they can inspect and choose the right tool and place to perform their actions at height without injuring themselves.
So this course is specially designed for the workmen to safely conduct their operations at heights. After completing this course, candidates will be able to prevent themselves from fall or any serious injury while working at any heights.
By completing the basic course and assessment, the candidates can apply for the High Risk Work Licence which will allow them to work at heights. Without the HRW licence, candidates will not be allowed to perform the work at heights.
There are different key areas which will be covered in the Work Safely at Heights Course. These key areas are:
Identifying the work requirements
Work procedures and instructions for the task
Accessing and installing equipment at the heights
Performing work at heights
Ladder Theory
Cleaning up the work area at heights

The average course duration in Australia for this course is 1 day. Please note down this course duration can be increased to 2 days from training organisation to organisation, where the training can be provided on the first day and assessment on the second day of the course.

The candidate:
Must be able to produce sufficient identification with name and photo (i.e. drivers licence, passport etc).
