Loans to wholesale, retail, food and lodging businesses here in Korea... grew by the fastest pace on record last year.
According to the Bank of Korea on Wednesday, borrowings in these sectors jumped 10-point-7 percent in 2018 compared to the previous year.
At the end of last year, total outstanding loans to these businesses... stood at roughly 177-point-5 billion U.S. dollars.
The central bank attributed the rise... to more people starting businesses in the wholesale, retail, food and lodging sectors.
