Korea's science ministry to invest over US$8.5 bil. in 13 innovative sectors to drive growth

To prepare for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the South Korean government is expanding the country's drone and artificial intelligence sectors.
The Ministry of Science and ICT is injecting some 800 million U.S. dollars into these industries over a five year period.
The drone market is forecast to expand, 20 times its current size, and the AI market is also expected to grow to around one hundred related firms, more than triple that of the current number.
This is part of the administration's plans to invest some 8-point-5 billion dollars into 13 sectors, including big data and self-driving cars, both considered, innovative growth drivers.
