2017-11-08 – 2017-11-15 STREETTANGO ADVENTURES XIAMEN
Just days before my flight to Japan, I seemed to have someone that was able to get some people together dancing during our 8 hour stopover in Xiamen China.
Half an hour before leaving for the airport I get a message saying they're already waiting at the airport.
Shoot! Did I just blow this rare opportunity to meet up with these people?
No internet, still hoping to meet at 9:30 h. in the morning at the KFC at the airport of Xiamen.
A young lady appears, guiding us to a taxi to bring us to an unknown place, supposedly close to the airport.
As time passes by we arrive in a fancy neighbourhood approaching the luxurious Hyatt Regency hotel so I make a joke that we just seem to have arrived at our destination.
It seems to be the Starbucks next door, where we are heading for, sitting down for a hot chocolate while, after a phone call, the others one by one drop in.
What a pleasant surprise to meet all these nice people with the same intention to meet up with other cultures.
We feel very welcome, even more when our taxi back to the airport already appears to have been paid for.
