Amidst her legal trouble over alleged disproportionate assets charge. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa assets have doubled in the past four years according to the affidavit filed by her with the Election Commission. But her opponents claim that she had undervalued her assets. She declared her assets while filing nominations for the June 27 bypoll to Radhakrishnan Nagar assembly constituency. While contesting from Srirangam constituency in May, 2011 assembly elections, she had declared assets of Rs 51.40 crore. As per the affidavit she filed along with the nominations for the bypoll, Jayalalithaa has total assets of Rs 117.13 crore, making her the richest CM in the country.
