Justice for Oindrila: Kolkata school principal arrested

Kolkata: Bratya Basu visits Oindrila's paents and assures them justice. Education Minister tells them that steps are being taken to deal with the 'illegal' and 'unjust' attitide of private schools. The family members of Oindrila complain that students face discrimination in those schools.
The principal of Christ Church Girls' School was today arrested in connection with the death of a Class V student, which triggered violent agitation by angry guardians who ransacked the institution. Helen Sarkar, the principal of the school in Dum Dum, was arrested for negligence of duty, a day after death of the 11-year-old student, kept confined inside a toilet allegedly by her seniors, police said.
