Asaram bapu case : Self-styled godman's bail rejected by Jodhpur court

The Jodhpur district and sessions court on Wednesday rejected the bail plea of controversial godman Asaram Bapu, who has been arrested for the sexual assault of a minor who is the daughter of his disciples. Represented by a battery of six lawyers, Asaram was sent to 14-day judicial custody on September 2. After his bail plea was turned down, his lawyers said they will move the Rajasthan High Court next. However, it is clear that Asaram will have to spend many more days in jail.
