Woman hangs herself in Tihar Jail

Days after Delhi gang-rape accused, Ram Singh was found dead inside Cell no3 of Delhi's high security Tihar Jail, another suicide has been reported. Reshma, a 29-year-old who was undergoing trial in a kidnapping case, is alleged to have hanged herself from the ventilator shaft of her cell using a dupatta. She was in jail since November 2011. The body was reportedly discovered by jail guards. The woman was rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital where she was declared brought dead. The exact cause of her death will be confirmed after an inquiry.
