Congress slams Modi on his development claims in Gujarat

Normally unsure of the way it should tackle Narendra Modi on the political stage. The Congress seems to be now taking him head on. Union Minister Jairam Ramesh is questioning the Gujarat Government's commitment to the rural poor. In a letter to the state, Ramesh has pointed out how the administration is denying the benefits of the Centre's Indira Awas Yojana to the poor people of the state. Ramesh says the Gujarat Government failed to use the Central funds to build homes for the poor. Not only did it use nearly 20 per cent of its the allotted share of 1. 37crore for the scheme. But several districts didn't even seek the second installment
