Tamil activists are demanding action against United Nation's secretary-general Ban Ki-Moon and other officials for not taking any action against those involved in the war crimes against Sri Lankan Tamil in the last phase of the war. The activists citing an internal report of the organisation, which had indicted Ban Ki-moon for failing in its mandate to protect civilians during the war, alleged that UN officials were sitting as silent spectators on the last phase of the Eelam war in the year 2009 and failed to act against the killings of Tamils.
