State executive of the Uttar Pradesh BJP would be held in Vrindavan from August 23.

The two-day meeting would fix political strategy for the party in the state which includes the next month's byelection to 11 assembly and one Lok Sabha seat and Special membership drive in the state.

Around 300 executive members of the state BJP will attend this meeting, first time after the BJP government came to power at the Centre, which will be inaugurated by BJP president Amit Shah on August 23 at Shanti Seva Dham in Vrindavan.

The concluding session on August 24 would be addressed by former BJP president and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh. UP BJP prsident Laxmikant Bajpai will give the presidential address on the opening day after the national president's speech.

BJP spokesperson Vijay Bahadur Pathak said here today that 34 MPs and 16 legislators would also participate in this executive where political and agricultural resolutions would be passed in about six sessions.

"Union ministers Santosh Gangwar, Kalraj Mishra, Manoj Sinha along with some others are also likely to participate," Mr Pathak said.

Prior to the meeting, state office bearers would meet at Vrindavan tomorrow to give the final shape of the agenda of the state executive.
