Prime Minister Designate Shri Narendra Modi had a telephonic conversation with the President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai regarding the terror attack on India's Consulate in Herat, Afghanistan.
During the talk, President Karzai assured Shri Modi that Afghanistan would do everything to protect Indian Missions in Afghanistan. Shri Modi also thanked President Karzai for the efforts of the Indian and Afghanistan forces in thwarting the attack on the Indian Consulate.
