India News: Sheila Dikshit on Food Security Bill in Delhi

India News: Delhi is the first state, which will flag the UPA's ambitious food security scheme. 32 Lakh people will come under programme's ambit in the first phase. Later it will enhance to the rest part of Delhi. The scheme aims to entitle the beneficiaries with food grains at subsidized rates. People of BPL, Jhuggi ration card and antyodaya category will get cheap food grain. The APL families with income less than an annual income of one lakh will also get the benefit of the programme. The state will cover 73.5 lakh people under the scheme.
