Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Home Minister P Chidambaram held a joint press briefing after meeting the Prime Minister on 2G note issue at the North Block in New Delhi. Backing Chidambaram, Pranab said the Home Minister followed the NDA policies. Pranab claimed the controversial note on 2G spectrum allocation scam that his ministry had sent to the Prime Minister's Office was just a background paper on the entire issue and nothing more.
