India News: The Supreme Court on Wednesday observed that the heart of the CBI report on coal allocation scam had been changed. An angry court asked the government what business did the joint secretaries (in PMO and Coal Ministry) have in going through the report.
The observation on the heart of the report being changed will make Law Minister Ashwini Kumar's continuance in the government difficult.
The court also came down heavily on the Attorney General, his deputy and the CBI while dealing with the affidavit filed by the investigating agency on the coal allocation scam.
The Attorney General passed the blame to the doorsteps of the Union Law Minister saying it was he who called for the meeting that changed the draft.
