India News: Congress General Secretary Digvijaya Singh has questioned Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's claims of being a development oriented leader, alleging that the BJP leader's claims are totally hollow. According to Digvijaya Singh Kerala is a most development state in terms of social indicators while Haryana has the highest per capita income among all the states in the country. He pointed out that both Kerala and Haryana had a Congress or Congress-led government.
Taking potshots at Modi, Singh asked if Kerala and Haryana are ahead of Gujarat then how can the Gujarat Chief Minister claim that his state was the most developed in the state. He also asked what had Modi done to justify the adulation that was being showered on him. Another Congress leader and Union Telecom and IT Minister Kapil Sibal challenged Modi and said that he would bring out the truth before the people soon.
