Social Interactions Keeps Senior Citizens More Active and Healthier The study was held at the
University of Texas at Austin. Every participant in it was
at least 65 or older. For seven straight days, 300 subjects were then asked about their social interactions every three hours. According to researchers, those who spent more time out of their homes, had recorded the most social activity with friends, family or strangers. Researchers add that talking with strangers
motivated subjects more than the other social groups. The study's authors say social engagement is extremely vital to keep people from feeling isolated. UTAustin, via study
