in 'Suicide Squad' Sequel The actress will instead star
in her own DC Extended
Universe spin-off movie,
'Birds of Prey.' Director James Gunn
will helm the upcoming
Suicide Squad sequel. The filmmaker wants to
feature a new cast of
characters and to avoid any
direct tie-in to the first movie. Gunn is taking "a new approach
and rethinking of the property"
and reportedly does not intend
to use the character at all. Margot is set to wrap
up the filming of
Birds of Prey in April.
