퍼포먼스 영상, 설치, 텍스트, 인터뷰영상으로 구성되어있다.
작가본인과 다세대의 한국남성들이 직접겪은 대한민국 군대를 다녀와서 느낀점을 작품으로 풀어냈으며
'단어가 처음 가졌던 본질의 의미는 변질될수밖에 없는가?'
에대한 질문을 던지는것을 목표로한다.

퍼포먼스.
세명의 퍼포머가 나와 군대 제식을 표방하고있다.
세명중 한명만이 다른색의 옷을입고있으며
세명중 한명만이 다른 움직임의 제식을 하고있다.
제식의 명령은 들리지않고
세명중
한명이 명령에 따르지않는건지
두명이 명령에 따르지않는건지
아니면 세명다 명령에 따르지않는건지는 아무도알수없다.
관객은 한명의 다른 움직임으로인해
나머지 두명의 퍼포머에게 어떤 영향이 끼치는기 관찰할수밖에 없다.

인터뷰 영상
1950년대부터 최근 2010년대에 군대를 다녀온 다양한
세대의 한국남성에게 군대에 관한 같은 질문을 던진다.

순수한 빨간색을 쓰지않고 최대한 빨간색을 낼수있게
다양한색깔의 염료를 섞어서 흰천을 염색하였다.
그위에 군화는 작가가 군생활할때 신었던 군화.

'단어의 본질'에 대해 에세이 형식으로 서술한 글.

빨간색에는 다양한 의미가 있다.
‘생명’ ‘정열’ ‘사랑’
또 한편으로는 ‘공산주의’ ‘사회주의’등
이미 사람들에게 빨간색은 고정적인 의미와 성격이 각인되어있다.
하지만 사실 빨간색은 빨간색일 뿐이다.
그 시대 사람들의 사회, 문화적 환경에 의해 내포하게된 일시적인 의미이며,
이 상징과 의미 또한 언젠가는
‘죽음’ ‘냉정’ ‘미움’
또 한편으로는 ‘자유주의’ ‘민주주의’가 될수도 있다.
빨간색의 본질은 고유의 원색이다.
무언가 섞어서 만들어낼수 없는 색.
이미 태어났을때 부터 빨간색이다.
인간과 닮아있다.

The color red embodies many different meanings. Today, it signifies things like life, passion and love. At the same time, it can also represent communism and socialism.
The color red has long been embedded with symbolic meanings that are now universally known to man. But besides the semiotics, the color red is simple red. Symbols and their meanings fluctuate and evolve along with the cultural and social environments they are conceived within. As such the symbolic meanings of red can evolve into other meanings that contradict current ones such as death, calmness and frustration. Politically, they may even symbolize freedom and democracy.
Red is a primary color. It cannot be made through the mixing of other colors. Red is red. Red has always been red since it was created. The same way humans have always been humans every since they were birthed.
