The American phenomenon of Galentine's Day, feted on February 13th as an alternative to the traditional Valentine's Day, is gaining in popularity with each passing year, and also gaining in terms of its message of female empowerment. The St. Regis Hotel in Washington is one of many local spots joining in the "holiday" festivities.
