Fans of French football team Nantes gathered in the centre of the city to pray for their former player Emiliano Sala, who was reportedly on board a plane that went missing over the English Channel.
They could also be heard chanting their former striker's name.
France’s civil aviation authority confirmed Cardiff City's new signing was on board the plane when it went missing having passed over Guernsey on its way to the Welsh capital from Nantes.
