According Reuters, stocks around the globe around about flat on the day. On the day for Jan. 17th, MSCI's all country world stock index rose by two-tenths of a percent. In Europe, the Stoxx 600 index hardly moved, increasing by two-hundredths of a percent. But stocks on Wall Street initially met the day with mixed results. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was trading down by a margin of 24-points, before rebounding. On the day, the Dow Jones is up only 17-points, rising to 24,224.
