Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Appears to Be
Cancer-Free Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg
underwent surgery last month to remove
cancerous tumors from her lungs. The Supreme Court released a statement Friday regarding the Justice's recuperative state. Kathleen Arberg, Supreme Court spokesperson Ginsburg, who has overcome two previous cancer diagnoses, missed oral arguments for the first time ever
on Monday. She has still been participating
as much as possible while
recovering at home. Ginsberg, 85, has served on the bench
for 25 years and intends to stay
on as long as she can "do it full steam." Dr. Robert Miller, professor of medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, feels Ginsberg's continued absence is not yet a cause for concern.
