According to Business Insider, Romaine lettuce sales are down by more than $71 million so far in 2018. This week, the CDC announced there is a new E. coli outbreak linked to romaine. All in all, sales have dropped by more than 15% in the first 40 weeks of 2018. With this new E. Coli outbreak, things are probably only going to get worse.
