A man and his 8-year-old daughter are in a car crash and Tracy wanders off. A station owner reports that she has met the girl but Jack doesn't believe her. Geoff and Kate need to perform delicate surgery in the Nomad to relieve a build-up of intracranial pressure. When Tracy's father regains consciousness and asks for Tracy, Jack blames himself for Laura's death.
