BMW VISSION NEXT 100 FUTURE CAR:

How to combine autonomous driving and the desire for driving pleasure and driving fun? On the occasion of the 100th company jubilee, BMW has thought about it. The result: The Vision Next 100 study.
The 4.90 meter long Vision Next 100 is a mixture of sporty coupe and sedan with large wheelbase. The wheels are covered by the copper body. When steering is used, a technology called BMW Alive Geometry: Like a stretchy skin, the body makes room for the wheels. Advantage: The cw value is low at 0.19. As soon as the driver approaches the car, the wing doors fold open, the steering wheel is sunk into the console for better boarding. The systems activate by pressing a button. As in the case of the i3, sustainability is an important topic: wood and leather should disappear in the long term, while textiles and other easily recyclable materials are used instead.

With the IDS Concept, Nissan will present its concept of autonomous driving and electric mobility at the Tokyo Motor Show 2015 (October 30 to November 8). The driver can choose between two driving modes in the full electric IDS Concept via a switch, the so-called PD Commander. In manual mode, the pilot has full control over the car as usual. In the background, however, numerous assistive systems monitor the events and intervene in an emergency. All four seats are straight forward and the interior lighting is blue: According to Nissan, this is to increase the driver's concentration.
