A massive fire broke out at a St. Petersburg branch of Russia's Lenta supermarket chain on Saturday morning.

The fire broke out at approximately 9:00am local time (6:00am GMT) and some 800 people had to be evacuated, according to local reports. Only one person suffered injuries.

"The area of collapse amounted to 3,200 square meters," a spokesperson for the fire department told Tass.
