According to the BBC, Rowling is suing Amanda Donaldson for making unauthorized purchases totaling about £24,000 ($30,000 U.S.). Donaldson, who worked for Rowling for almost 3 years, denies the charges. In addition to allegedly spending money on Starbucks, luxury candles and the purchase of two cats — Rowling claims Donaldson stole valuable 'Harry Potter' memorabilia. It is also alleged that Donaldson spent money at Bibi Bakery, Molton Brown and Paper Tiger. J.K. Rowling's representative, to the BBC.
