Robyn Denholm to Replace Elon Musk as Tesla Chairman Denholm is the CFO of Australian telecommunications company Telstra. She has also served on Tesla's board since 2014. Denholm will begin working at Tesla full time after a six-month notice period with Telstra wraps up. Tesla, via statement Musk agreed to step down from the role as part of a settlement with the Securities and Exchange Commission after the agency accused him of fraud for saying he would take Tesla private and had secured funding.
