Fellow Inmate Attacks Charlottesville Suspect

Newser reports that the man Charlottesville police have charged with plowing his car into a group of counterprotesters at a white supremacist rally has been assaulted behind bars. James Alex Fields Jr. pleaded not guilty in the death of Heather Heyer. He was being attended by staff at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail when Timothy Ray Brown Jr. dodged an officer and hit Fields "twice on the left side of his body above his shoulders.
