Prison Sentence in 2019 Earlier this month, Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino was sentenced to eight months in prison for tax fraud. A federal judge in New Jersey ruled Monday that Sorrentino will now have until Jan. 15 to report to prison. In granting the extension, Sorrentino and his brother, Marc, were charged in 2014 with tax offenses related to nearly $9 million in income. Sorrentino is getting married Nov. 1 to college sweetheart, Lauren Pesce. 'The Situation' appeared on all six seasons of the MTV reality show 'Jersey Shore,' He is currently starring in the Jersey Shore spin-off 'Jersey Shore:
Family Vacation.'
