The F39 could be the first generation X2, and is particularly based on the UKL architecture which is shared with other BMW and MINI models. It is in line with the BMW Concept X2 shown in the 2016 Paris Motor Show as well as an online unveiling with the final production model on 25 October 2017. Models come in front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive xDrive, and initial engines include turbocharged 3-cylinder petrol and 4-cylinder petrol and diesel models.
