00:00And now, stand by for adventure.
00:17Three, two, one.
00:21In the exciting story of...
00:26Colonel Bleep's Arrival on Earth!
00:34Colonel Bleep, interplanetary intelligence agent for the planet Futura,
00:40had completed another dangerous mission.
00:43An arch criminal, Dr. Destructo, had at last been captured.
00:48He was at this very moment a prisoner in a space bubble,
00:51securely anchored in the outer ring of the planet Saturn.
00:56And now, the Futuran high command had ordered Colonel Bleep on a new assignment,
01:00a top secret mission to investigate reports of disturbances on worlds of outer space,
01:06the distant planet Earth in particular,
01:09to observe its... places... people... and customs.
01:15It was therefore only a few days later that the giant telescope at Mount Palomar Observatory
01:20first gave news to people of Earth of Colonel Bleep's approach.
01:24Powerful lenses focused on this curious visitor from the outer world
01:27as he flashed past the planets Uranus and Neptune
01:30and then rapidly spanned the empty space towards our own planet Earth!
01:35Actually, the people of Futura had only recently become interested in Earth.
01:39To Futurans, the Earth was only a small planet revolving around the minor sun of the Milky Way galaxy
01:45and hardly worth investigation under ordinary circumstances.
01:49However, on July 16th, 1945, they had observed what appeared to be an atomic explosion...
01:59...on the Earth planet.
02:00As time went on, Futuran futomic radar scopes recorded an increase in the number and fury of these explosions.
02:06And in the Earth's stratosphere, even the rocket trails of guided missiles were observed.
02:11To Futurans, these were signs of trouble.
02:14Trouble. Trouble in space.
02:16And trouble anywhere in space is the concern of the Futura Interplanetary High Command.
02:22And so, Colonel Bleep has arrived.
02:28And the exciting adventures of his new secret mission are about to begin.
02:34With Colonel Bleep are two unusual companions to share his exciting adventures.
02:39First, there is Squeak.
02:41A happy-go-lucky boy of the present, very much like you.
02:45Except that Squeak is a puppet and cannot speak a single word.
02:49Because, as you all know, a puppet cannot talk for himself.
02:53But Squeak is filled with curiosity, as all boys are.
02:56And you all know the troubles curiosity can often bring about.
03:01Second, there is Scratch.
03:04An expert on the past, who, like other cavemen, should really have become extinct several thousand years ago.
03:10But Scratch fell asleep.
03:15And slept right through the evolution of man.
03:17And didn't wake up until that first atomic explosion.
03:24Blew him right out of the past and into the present.
03:28Scratch, like most cavemen, is sometimes a trifle slow at catching on.
03:32But when danger threatens, Bleep and Squeak can depend on quick action from Scratch and his trusty club.
03:39As they shall see.
03:42So here they are, three very strange companions.
03:45Colonel Bleep, of the future.
03:50Squeak, of the present.
03:51And Scratch, of the distant past.
03:55Together they travel up, down, backwards or forwards, in distance or in time.
04:00Together they face danger and death as they fight to maintain right and justice throughout the vast galaxies of the world.
