Female activist falls off wireless tower in Bhopal, India

A female social health activist fell off a wireless tower during an ongoing protest for salary hikes in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, central India on October 3.

An Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) protester, Reema reportedly climbed the mobile tower, located a short distance from the State Chief Minister's residence around 3:00pm.

Three policemen followed her, and after a brief argument while trying to get her down, the protester lost her footing and fell to the ground.

Along with the protester, two other policewomen were injured. The injured worker was rushed to Gandhi Medical College for treatment.

The workers have been protesting in front of the Chief Minister's residence since October 2, demanding a hike in salary and other allowances.
