'Funky White Sister' on 'Ellen' Mary Halsey found viral success when she performed a karaoke version of Missy Elliott's "Work It" at
a picnic. Missy Elliott ended up seeing
the video and gave props to her
"funky white sister" on social media. Halsey was recently invited to
appear on 'Ellen' to talk about it
and perform the hit Missy Elliott song. Much to Halsey's surprise, Missy Elliott appeared on stage mid-performance. Halsey held it down and finished
the song alongside her inspiration. Afterwards, the three ladies had
a sit-down. Missy and Ellen gifted Halsey
with clothing commemorating the experience. Halsey offered to teach Ellen
the words to "Work It" and
offered to be a "hype girl"
for Missy anytime.
