How to Make Your Own Edible Bubbles With Lick-a-Bubble?
With Lick-a-Bubble, you can make flavored bubbles using juice, iced tea, Gatorade, or just about anything you can drink, with a few exceptions. The Lick-a-Bubble is a safety-tested product made in the USA that comes with either two or four bottles of the bubble solution, wands, a dipping tray, and a wand blaster. It was invented by a pediatric allergist and is designed for children ages 5 and up.

Our editor-at-large, Joshua David Stein, investigates to see how well it works and how good it tastes in this episode of Fatherly “Reviews.” To begin, you simply add a tasty beverage to the red fill line. Mix gently by swirling the wand in a circular motion for about 10 seconds or gently flipping the bottle back and forth with the cap closed 10 times. Then blow bubbles and lick for taste. A major detail is using room temperature liquids to produce the best results. Cold beverages usually don’t formulate bubbles. Additionally, you cannot use dairy or pulpy beverages.

We tested Lick-a-Bubble with Snapple Iced Tea, blue Gatorade, Arizona Iced Tea, Nantucket Nectars orange juice, and a cup of coffee. The directions instruct you to pour your mix of beverage and bubble solution into the dipping tray and then dip the wand blaster into the tray. The wand blaster may or may not work as well as a classic wand, so you’ll want to try different methods for different concoctions.

Lick-a-Bubble is a simple toy that will let you watch your kids run around with their mouths open and tongues out trying to lick bubbles.
