Mac Miller Public Vigil Scheduled in Pittsburgh Mac Miller was found dead of an apparent overdose at his Los Angeles home on Friday, Sep. 7. Sarah Ardalani, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County coroner's office, has confirmed that an autopsy was completed and Miller's body was released to his family. However, an official cause of death won't be released until toxicology results are received, which could take months. Thousands of fans are gathering to honor the rapper in his hometown Tuesday evening. The public vigil will be held in the park that he named his 2011 debut album after, Frick Park — AKA Blue Slide Park. Nightfall Records will initiate the vigil at 5 p.m. ET. Nightfall Records, via 'USA Today' Those in attendance are also encouraged "to come and paint, create, draw, live tribute art for this event."
