Macklemore, who has battled with his own addictions in the past, paid homage to Miller on Instagram on Sep. 8. Macklemore, via Instagram Macklemore went on to implore fans battling addiction to seek help. Macklemore, via Instagram Macklemore overcame drug and alcohol addiction in 2008 after entering rehab. He also spoke of his addiction in the 2016 documentary, Prescription For Change: Ending America's Opioid Crisis. Macklemore gave praise to Miller as "A true artist. Your spirit is what impressed me the most."
