China’s concern over closer US-Taiwan relations

The US relationship with China and Taiwan is governed by a series of sensitive protocols under the One-China policy. But the US administration under President Donald Trump has taken steps to form closer ties with the self-ruled island, actions which have drawn criticism and warnings from Beijing.
