According to a report by Comicbook.com, Star Trek: The Next Generation star Wil Wheaton, who left Twitter in August, has posted an essay to his website explaining why he felt the move was necessary. Wheaton reportedly said that the decision was part of a larger protest referred to as DeactiDay. The major incident was reportedly Twitter's refusal to ban Alex Jones. Wheaton said in his final tweet.
