The I-Pace was made by Ian Callum. The concept version from the car, termed a five-seater racecar, was unveiled by JLR on the 2016 Los Angeles motor show and shown on-road in London in March 2017. Series production is handled by Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria, as well as the production version in the I-Pace was revealed in Graz on 1 March 2018. Some with the electric drive technology has come out from the Jaguar I-Type electric Formula E racing car programme. plus the concentric motors were manufactured by JLR engineer Dr. Alex Michaelides.
