Young librarian William is asked to locate a book called 'The Tractate Middoth'. Before he can get it, it is taken by a scary mysterious figure. William continues to look for the book and is confronted by the mysterious borrower, a rotting ghost. His investigations lead him to the truth behind the book and a further climactic confrontation.
