Welcome rain will bring some cooler air to some southern regions but despite another round of showers in Seoul, it will remain quite hot and humid.

Seoul will see on and off rain in the afternoon. Other than Chungcheongnam-do Province, most regions will see showers today.

But we can't expect any relief from the heat, Seoul and Daejeon will be sweltering at 35 degrees Celsius, Daegu will hit 33 degrees.

The warm weather will continue for another week or so, but starting August 20th, we could start to breath little better.

But it could cool down earlier than expected, if the 14th typhoon of the season, Typhoon Yagi, which is heading towards Japan's Ryukyu Islands this weekend, indirectly affects South Korea early next week. But its path could change so be sure to stay updated.
